Corporate Art, Atlanta, GA.

A great painting sparks the right hemisphere of our brains, stimulating ideas, and ideas are the root of creativity.  If you surround yourself with art that inspires you, your life will be greatly enriched!

Studies in work environments have shown that the productivity of an employee is elevated by as much as 25% when they are exposed to original art in their everyday jobs. This doesn’t surprise me.  Art that makes us feel good can uplift our moods and give us a greater sense of well-being.  Whether in a home or business, I'm honored that my paintings are hung in a prominent place for all to enjoy.

When a corporate office is enhanced with original art, the environment is elevated to a dynamic level that will incentivize both employees and clients!

On my website, you'll see some of my commissioned pieces and read what my clients have to say about working with me.  Let’s see what I can do to help provide you with just the right artwork for your corporate offices.  Thanks! - Jill Saur - Jill Saur Fine Art, LLC

Aspen Painting

"If you reveal your secrets to the wind, you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees."
- Khalil Gibran

My 8"10".5" oil palette knife and brush painting, "Relinquished", has richly textured trees, revealing their "bone structure" against the value tones of winter. The title suggests the place in life where we relinquish ourselves and open up our hearts and minds to fresh inspiration and new possibilities.

I love aspens in winter. Their beautiful white trunks and dark branches mingle with the dark shadows cast upon the white snow, creating a profound beauty that is best experienced in silence.

DO OPPOSITES REALLY ATTRACT?  YOU BET THEY DO!!!!

My 36"x36" abstract oil painting titled, "Square Dance", was quickly snatched up by a collector shortly after I painted it a number of years ago.

The theme of this painting is, "Opposites Attract".  I applied complimentary colors next to each other to create an evocative synergy.  My patron tells me that everyone who sees this painting wants it.  That makes me smile.

If you're looking for a dynamic expressive abstract painting (or one with soft colors), please consider commissioning me to paint one for you.  I love working with clients and coming up with a dynamic painting just for them!  And, your satisfaction is guaranteed!

Van Gogh on Learning To Draw

Van Gogh's Letter To Theo: Learning To Draw

"It’s more or less the same with drawing as with writing. When one learns to write as a child, one has the feeling that one will never discover how to do it, and it seems to be a miracle when one sees the schoolmaster write so quickly. Nevertheless, in time one grasps it. And I really believe that one must learn to draw in such a way that it’s as easy as writing something down, and that one must master proportion and learn to see in such a way that one can reproduce at will whatever one sees on a larger or smaller scale." - Van Gogh

Drawing never came naturally to me, it was grueling. It wasn't until I learned proportioning that I understood how to do it. With practice, I could finally say that I loved to draw. It's a wonderful way to express feelings. If you've ever wanted to learn, it's never too late. And, if I can learn, anyone can! - Jill Saur

Chattahoochee River Painting

©2022 Original Painting by Jill Saur, all rights reserved

I've long been enthralled by the Chattahoochee River.  Living north of Atlanta, it's one of the few places that a soul has to wander that's not too far from home.  It's possible to spend a nice amount of time gazing at the fast moving waters in complete solitude.  This particular area is called, Jones Bridge.  The old bridge has since come down and a new one is being built so that other wandering souls can cross from one side to the other.

This 36"x 36" acrylic painting on wide border canvas has a kinetic that carries your eye along the water's path to the focal point.  The dramatic stark white tree is accentuated by the blazing colors of fall.  One of my favorite things to include in my artwork is a path.  Paths are one of the most significant reminders of the daily choices that we make in our life's journey.

This painting is currently available on my website.  Thanks for viewing! - Jill Saur

Flower Palette Knife Painting

Joy evoking and loaded with texture is what I intended for my 20"x16" palette knife painting, "Happy In Blue." There's a world of difference between joy and happiness. I find joy to be deeply rooted in ones soul and it doesn't depend on outward circumstances.

This exuberant painting is an eye catcher. I offer free shipping anywhere in the continental United States and if you need something larger, I love to paint commissions. Thanks for viewing! - Jill

“A tree against the sky possesses the same interest, the same character, the same expression as the figure of a human. – George Rouault”. (French painter)

It's no secret that I love to paint trees!  George Rouault's quote deeply resonates with me.

I rendered my 38”x48” acrylic aspen tree painting with brush and palette knife.  I closed my eyes and wandered through one of my trips to Colorado, where the azure blue sky against the dancing white aspen trees ignite endless waves of inspiration.  The title of this painting is, “Resilient Beauty”.  It hangs in the home of one of my patrons.

Apples on Canvas Painting

©2021-2022 All rights reserved, Jill Saur Fine Art, LLC.

As I sit here writing about my apple painting, I'm thinking of a scene in "Good Will Hunting".

After getting his love interest's number in a bar, Will Hunting (Matt Damon) taunts the man who didn't get her number.  Will bangs on the window of the coffee shop the man is sitting in, and asks him through the glass if he likes apples.

When the man says, " Yes, a crisp Gala apple is delightful on a sunny fall day!" Will slams the number against the window and says, "Well, I got her number. How do you like them apples?"

So, I would ask you, the viewer, do you like apples?  Well, if you do, your sure to love these.  Emanating luscious hues, this painting radiates joy and has a beautiful glow both in the daylight and the evening.  - Jill Saur

Buy Fall Aspen Tree Painting

copyrighted 2021 Jill Saur Fine Art, LLC "Autumn Brilliance"

My newest original fall aspen tree painting is titled, "Autumn Brilliance" and it measures 48"x 60"x 1.5".

Imagine these exciting vibrant hues and lively aspen trees filling your room and creating a mesmerizing focal point.  In the evening, if there's just a little light in the room, an ethereal glow radiates from this work of art.

I can guarantee you that photographs just can't do this painting justice.  When my clients enter my studio, the first thing they tell me is that my work is surprisingly better in person than online.  They love it online or they wouldn't come to my studio, but when they actually see it, they tell me it blows them away.  It's hard for me to write that because I realize it might seem boastful, but they aren't my words, they're the words of my patrons.

This painting is intended to be a focal point for any room that it hangs in.  I love aspen trees and that is something that's truly reflected in this work.

Commission A Painting In Atlanta

Jill Saur

September was ablaze with the splendor of Colorado's beauty.  My husband and I spent twelve glorious days with my sister and brother-in-law at their ranch outside of Aspen.  On this particular morning, my sister and I ventured out along the Frying Pan River.  That's a great name for a river, isn't it?  You know it must have an abundance of trout to have a name like that.  Around every turn of the road we discovered a new adventure as we parked the car and made our way down to the sparkling multi-colored waters.

How wonderful it was to be out in nature again, to breathe the fresh air and behold the many textures and colors of our incredible world.  Now that I'm back in my studio, I'm looking forward to painting again!
