Owning abstract paintings offers more than just decorative appeal; it brings a sense of personal connection and emotional resonance to a space. Abstract art allows viewers to interpret the piece in their own way, making it a unique and personal experience for each individual. It can evoke emotions, spark creativity, and inspire new perspectives, enriching the environment in which it is displayed. Additionally, owning original abstract works supports artists and adds value to a collection, as each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation that embodies the artist’s vision and energy. The dynamic and timeless nature of abstract art makes it a versatile choice for any setting, offering both aesthetic beauty and a profound, intangible value that grows over time.

This 9"x 12" cold wax and oil medium painting is titled, "Genesis."  This painting and other abstract works of art, are available to purchase on my website.

I also love to paint commissions and I can paint the canvas size your looking for, with the colors to enhance and compliment your space.  Thanks for viewing - Jill Saur

Commission A Seascape In the Sarasota/Bradenton Area

©1990-2024 Boat Painting by Jill Saur, all rights reserved

This abandoned boat on the beach, "Rhapsodic Blues", was inspired by a vacation on a small island in the Florida Keys, where I came across this enticing scene.  This 14"x11" acrylic palette knife painting is rendered in the impressionistic style of Vincent Van Gogh, one of my favorite artists.

This painting is sold, but I love to paint commissions and can render a similar painting for you.  The great thing about commissions is that you choose the size of the painting that best suits your needs.  My work is usually purchased to create a focal point in a room and to bring uplifting colors and feelings into a home or office.  Click on the link below to see what my patrons say about commissioning a work of art.

Commission A Pet Portrait Painting in Sarasota, FL

My lovely client, Alison, commissioned me to paint her beloved dog.  This is, "Bella".  I can't help but spend whatever time is necessary to capture the essence of any creature that I paint and this endeavor was no exception.

These are my clients words in regards to the outcome of this painting:   "I could not be more pleased at how Jill’s portrait of my dog, Bella, turned out. She truly captured her essence. I love this painting and I will cherish it long after Bella is gone. It definitely exceeded my expectations and my expectations were high because I know what an amazing artist Jill is."

My clients satisfaction is always guaranteed.  I feel blessed that in thirty years of painting, I've never had a work returned or a commission rejected.  Please consider entrusting me with a commissioned piece of your own!  - Jill Saur
