Today, I reflected back on my 16"x20" acrylic abstract tree painting, "Fire and Water".  While painting this deeply emotional piece, I watched it emerge before my eyes.  I wasn't painting it, it was painting me.  Those special works of art usually turn out to be my best pieces.

I love what Paul Cezanne said, "Painting from nature is not copying the object; it is realizing one's sensations".  The experience of creating art is truly beautiful and mysterious at the same time. - Jill Saur
