Colorado landscape paintings seem to be in my blood.  I'm in love with Colorado's beautiful mountains, fresh air, and of course, the ever-alluring aspen trees that evoke the spiritual and artistic senses of my soul.

This is my 12"x12" acrylic palette knife painting on canvas.  It's titled, "Blue Flowers".

When I work with my palette knife, I use an impasto style that I developed over fifteen years ago. The richly textured paint seemingly brings my trees and flowers to life.  
My patrons tell me they feel like they can walk into one of my landscapes or reach out and pluck a petal from one of my flower paintings.  That makes me smile!

It's no secret that I love to paint trees!  George Rouault's quote deeply resonates with me.

I rendered my 38”x48” acrylic aspen tree painting with brush and palette knife.  I closed my eyes and wandered through one of my trips to Colorado, where the azure blue sky against the dancing white aspen trees ignite endless waves of inspiration.  The title of this painting is, “Resilient Beauty”.  It hangs in the home of one of my patrons.
