It's no secret that I love to paint trees!  George Rouault's quote deeply resonates with me.

I rendered my 38”x48” acrylic aspen tree painting with brush and palette knife.  I closed my eyes and wandered through one of my trips to Colorado, where the azure blue sky against the dancing white aspen trees ignite endless waves of inspiration.  The title of this painting is, “Resilient Beauty”.  It hangs in the home of one of my patrons.

Aspens In The Fall Painting

I recently finished my new aspen tree painting. I was originally inspired to paint aspen trees over thirty years ago on a visit to Colorado. I fell in love with their quaking leaves, brilliant colors, and peaceful surroundings.

Apples on Canvas Painting

As I sit here writing about my apple painting, I'm thinking of a scene in "Good Will Hunting". 

After getting his love interest's number in a bar, Will Hunting (Matt Damon) taunts the man who didn't get her number.  Will bangs on the window of the coffee shop the man is sitting in, and asks him through the glass if he likes apples.

When the man says, " Yes, a crisp Gala apple is delightful on a sunny fall day!" Will slams the number against the window and says, "Well, I got her number. How do you like them apples?" 

So, I would ask you, the viewer, do you like apples?  Well, if you do, your sure to love these.  Emanating luscious hues, this painting radiates joy and has a beautiful glow both in the daylight and the evening.  - Jill Saur
